Miso-Glazed Tofu

Miso-glazed salmon went pretty viral and we wanted to make it with our tofu! Tofu can also be marinated in a sweet and savory miso sauce and enjoyed over some rice or noodles. It's so easy and only requires 4 ingredients for the marinade.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp sake
  • 3 tbsp Mirin
  • 1/2 cup miso
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar
  • 1 Block of Big Mountain Foods Soy-Free Tofu (Regular or Smoked)
  • 1/4 tsp roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion

Recipe Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to saucepan and whisk over medium heat 2-3 minutes until well combined, set aside to cool
  2. Cut soy-free tofu into 1/3 or 1/4 slices
  3. Place the tofu and marinade and let it sit for at least a couple hours or overnight. Leave some soft leftover for later
  4. Pan-fry or bake tofu for 15 minutes at 350 degrees in an oven
  5. Garnish with some sesame seeds or green onion
  6. Serve with rice or udon, or eat on it's own
  7. Add some of the extra sauce for more flavour
